Big Bold Gold Jewelry Is Back In Style Big, bold gold jewelry is back in style in a big way—just as the price of gold is climbing again. In the one-year period from September 2018 to September 2019, gold rose by $350 an ounce, from $1200 to $1550.

The new line of Gold One™ Jewelry, created by Select Jewelry, Inc., both women and men can wear the latest gold jewelry fashions without breaking their budgets. Gold One™ is an exclusive new one-karat patent-pending gold alloy formula that brings the cost of gold jewelry down to an affordable level. Retail prices for finished pieces in the collection are dramatically lower than comparable pieces of 14k gold jewelry.

“The alloy lends itself to a wide range of manufacturing techniques: tubing, stamping, casting, chain and more,” explained Ronny Seliktar, president of Select Jewelry, Inc. “It is suitable for setting diamonds, gems, CZ, or any element you would set in traditional gold products.” It is then plated with a substantial layer of brilliant 14k gold.

Jewelers who have gold-plating capability will be able to easily size or repair any Gold One™ jewelry.

Gold One™ is a return to the golden age of fine jewelry, a time when bold gold jewelry had a substantial weight and elegance to it. Gold conveyed status and luxury, and yet was affordable to all.

“We are creating the heavier, bolder designs ladies love. Seliktar continues. “With 1KT gold, we can create aspirational looks that are surprisingly affordable but also very durable. Regular 14Kt gold pieces at these price points would be very lightweight, fragile, and easily dented or broken. Gold One™ jewelry is an upgrade in quality, solidly made, and won’t bend or lose its shape with regular wear.”

The Federal Trade Commission’s decision to allow gold alloys below 10KT was a driving force behind the creation of Gold One™.

“The FTC recognized the sustained high price of gold and changed the regulations to allow us to create fine gold jewelry at affordable price points making it possible for shoppers to buy their first piece of gold jewelry or their first piece in a very long time,” he says.

The Gold One™ brand includes necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings for women and men. Retailers will be supported with Gold One branded countertop units, displays, marketing materials, video content and still images for retailer websites, and more. Gold One™ also has launched an all-new website,, and launching a social media campaign to educate consumers.

The brand will be available only through authorized retailers, starting this fall. It was recently featured on QVC for a full hour during its 24-hour gold event, and Seliktar says consumer response was wonderful and the network is already planning more shows for the line. Online reviews from buyers have been highly favorable.

“Our top priority is to bring back the gold category and convert the fashion jewelry shopper to a fine jewelry shopper,” says Seliktar.

Select Jewelry, Inc. also has extensive lines of 14Kt and 10Kt gold jewelry, which it will continue to offer to retailers.

“Gold One™ is not a substitute for 10Kt or 14Kt gold but a new option for the customer. It broadens the customer base that can now afford gold jewelry, says Seliktar. “It also fills in the white space of assortments we all walked away from due to the high retails.
